== Introduction ==
[[File:Ps4vmware.jpg|250px|border|right|PS4]]With the introduction of HTML5-based clients for the [[VMware vSphere|ESXi]] host (and an equivalent vCenter client in the Fling stage) there's no longer the need to restrict your HomeLab management platform to a traditional computer with a flash-compatible browser installed. We have already had the suggestion of the [[Managing your Homelab via Xbox]] so I was curious if other consoles were up to the task.

== Pros and Cons ==
===Pros===
*You can manage your Virtual Environment on the big screen from the comfort of your armchair.
*You have an excuse to move the PS4 to your man cave or where a large screen is available. Another excuse for a blu ray player(WAF)?!

===Cons===
*Some functionality is currently limited- uploading files to datastores 
*Smaller members of the family or unknowing significant others may end up shutting down your lab

The PS4 is available from all major retailers, please check for current local pricing.

== Use Cases ==
The platform is ideal for emergency reboots of local hosts and VMs or specifically VCSA if it has crashed. For example I may also check on my RDP or Citrix servers so I can access the lab via my iPad or work device.
